Boylan Heights Historic District

Boylan Heights is one of Raleigh's oldest neighborhoods, so the landscaping here had to sit comfortably against original porches, lattice and mature street trees rather than compete with them.

Hardscape

An irregular flagstone patio was set into the lawn at the foot of the rear steps, with a run of stepping stones carrying the route out across the grass and a herringbone paver walkway linking the two properties.

Planting

New beds were shaped around the hardscape and planted with small flowering trees, evergreen shrubs and perennials, then edged and mulched so the lines stay crisp between the lawn and the borders.

Everything here was designed and installed by our own team, from the stonework through to the last plant.
