Creedmoor waterfall

The soothing sound of trickling water: this slope was built as a waterfall and stream running the full drop from the deck down to the garden below.

The watercourse

Boulders and fieldstone were set to make a series of small falls rather than one drop, so the water is audible from the deck without being loud. The bed is lined and finished in river rock and pebble.

The edges

Ferns, hostas and evergreen shrubs were planted right up to the stone on both banks, which is what makes a new watercourse look as though it has always been there.
